Just because your bathroom is small doesn’t mean it can’t be made to feel glamorous. If you don’t want to undertake the laborious task of resizing your bathroom, there are some tricks you can utilize to give it a more comfortable feel. Here are just a few of them.
Add a walk-in shower to open up the room. You may like to spend time soaking in a nice, warm bath, but the reality is that the structure of the tub itself doesn’t work well with a small-sized bathroom. A bathtub takes up more space than just what it occupies: the entire section of that bathroom is unlikely to serve any other purpose or have additional features. A walk-in shower can save space by comparison. It may not seem as luxurious as having a tub, but a shower is much more open to further modification and expansion.
Install all-new fixtures. A little visual appeal can go a long way into breathing new life into a room. A quick trick that won’t break the bank is to install new fixtures throughout the room: lighting, sinks, showerheads, and even mirrors. It’s a simple task to replace and install any of these things, and won’t risk accidentally damaging something else in the room. More importantly, things like faucets may work better after being replaced if you’ve had them for years.
Streamline your bathroom’s style. When you think about how you want to design your home, it’s easy to overlook the bathroom, especially if it’s small. Something you should consider that, again, is inexpensive, is to unify the look as much as possible. This means no mismatched pieces or combining dissimilar colors. Uniformity in a room can create the illusion of greater space.
